This box pleated fit & flare dress has been crafted from a handwoven tribal Rabari shawl fresh off the loom from Bhujodi Village in Kutch, India. This shawl takes approximately 2-3 days to weave from a wool blend. After being woven, it is then beautifully hand embroidered.

The border is hand woven and then hand embroidered with tiny mirrors and maroon threads. This work is done by Banjaran or nomadic women. The hem is finished with small handmade tassels ( Please note: There are no tassels on this dress)

The dress has a boat neck, pockets and a concealed zipper in the back.

The shawl from which this dress is crafted has been sourced from Bhujodi Village in Gujarat where nomadic tribes hand weave shawls and blankets for their community. The "Vankars" are the weavers of Kutch who travelled from Rajasthan centuries ago picking up and spreading weaving and embroidery traditions along the way. This village is also known as the village of weavers because of the settlers and the songs of warp meeting weft that linger in the air.

The dress is 35-36 inches in length.

*PLEASE NOTE: This dress is hand embroidered and handwoven due to which the colour and embroidery of motifs on each dress vary which we believe lends to its exclusivity and beauty. The color of the actual dress may vary slightly from the images since the fabric is handwoven and two shawls are the same.

Please note: Due to the handwoven nature of the fabric, some embroidery and motifs / pattern will be different then in the product images.
