Dhokra is a lost wax casting process and is one of the oldest techniques of metal casting in India, practiced for over 4000 years by the Dhokra kumar tribes people. These artisans handcraft each and every brass bead used in the jewelry. Starting with the melting down of old brass vessels and tools, the beads are beaten, shaped and strung together to form the jewelry.
